"I work 12-hour shifts at the power plant and was always stressed about my two dogs being cooped up all day. Pawsitively Purrfect has been an absolute lifesaver! Getting the GPS map and photo update in the middle of my shift melts my stress away. They treat my dogs like family!"
"We took a 5-day family trip to the Black Hills and booked in-home overnight sitting. Not only were our cats completely relaxed and purring when we returned, but our mail was stacked neatly and our house plants were thriving! So much better than taking our anxious cats to a kennel."
"My 14-year-old Lab needs twice-daily arthritis meds and gentle supervision. Finding someone who is truly attentive, reliable, and experienced with senior care was essential for us. They are punctual, communicative, and immensely kind. 10/10 recommend to anyone in Mercer County!"
Hi there! I founded Pawsitively Purrfect Pet Sitting right here in Hazen, North Dakota with one clear mission: to provide the gentle, reliable, and individualized care that our pets deserve when their families are away or at work.
Having grown up surrounded by dogs, cats, and farm animals across North Dakota, I know that pets aren't "just animals" — they are our children and companions. Being placed in an unfamiliar kennel can cause genuine distress. By caring for them directly inside your home, they stay relaxed, eat on their normal schedule, and enjoy familiar comforts.
Everything you need to know about our Hazen in-home pet sitting and dog walking services.
The Meet & Greet is a complimentary 20–30 minute visit at your home in Hazen or surrounding areas. We get to know your pet in their environment, review their feeding routine, walk path, favorite hiding spots, and medication instructions. It ensures your pets feel 100% comfortable with us before our first service begins!
We are background-checked, lifelong animal lovers with extensive hands-on experience caring for dogs, cats, senior pets with special routines or medical needs, and hobby farm critters. We focus on attentive, individualized 1-on-1 care in your pet's familiar environment. We also conduct a complimentary in-home Meet & Greet beforehand so you can meet us in person, walk us through your pet's routine, and make sure everyone is completely comfortable.
Yes! We have extensive experience with oral pills, liquid medications, eye drops, ear treatments, and diabetic insulin injections. We adhere strictly to your vet's prescribed schedule and dosage without any extra charge for standard medications.
Most clients provide a garage keypad code, smart lock code, or lockbox code. If you use physical keys, we test two copies during the initial Meet & Greet (one operational key and one secured emergency backup in our fireproof lockbox). Keys are tagged anonymously without your address for privacy.
We understand that life, North Dakota weather, and travel plans change. Dog walking and daily drop-in visits can be cancelled with 24 hours' notice for a full refund or credit. For major holidays and overnight slumber party bookings, we kindly ask for 7 days' advance notice.
We monitor wind chill and sub-zero temperatures closely. When winter weather is extreme (wind chills below -15°F), we do quick potty breaks outside and replace the remaining walk time with vigorous indoor enrichment, tug-of-war, puzzle games, and pampering to keep your dog exercised and safe from frostbite.
